Eames Lounge Chair

Relaxing in the house in your favorite lounge chair after a hard day at the office is an ideal way to spend the evening.  The lounge chair has come a long way from the 1946 Lounge Chair designed by Ray and Charles Eames which was made of molded plywood.  Time magazine hailed the Eames model the Best Design of the 20th Century.  The Eames Lounge Chair is one of the most coveted and highly recognized contemporary furniture in the world.

Later versions of the Eames Lounge Chair (1956) have soft upholstery and ottomans to put up the feet.

In 1958 Arne Jacobsen designed the classic Egg Chair, an innovative chair intended for a hotel in Germany.  Later years saw the development of Modern Contemporary Furniture like the Sphere Chair, Bubble Chair, Hanging Ball Chair, Hanging Egg Chair and variations in the Egg and Spherical shaped designs of ultra modern furniture.
